Our Mission
The role of the Centre is to provide
fundamental research in support of 2010
UK Government targets for generation
from renewable
sources and CHPs and technical input into the DTI/OFGEM
Distributed Generation Coordinating Group.
Centre Profile
Key objectives of Centre are:
Carry out a research programme into sustainable electrical
power systems with high penetrations of distributed generation
Develop software and hardware facilities for testing and demonstrating concepts
and solutions
Contribute to the areas of work of the Technical Steering Group of the DTI/OFGEM
Distributed Generation Coordinating Group
Provide advice to goverment.
The centre is funded by the Department of Trade and Industry.
